IV. Skills and Research Expertise: 

  • Experience in interdisciplinary projects of material science, physics and chemistry involving spin dependent electron transfer through chiral molecules and semiconductor materials in spintronic device, particularly for Magnetoresistance and spin Hall device.

  • Expertise on the fabrication of spintronic device in clean room facilities using mask aligner, Micro writer, photolithography workstation, thermal evaporator, atomic layer deposition (ALD), RF sputtering and wire bonder.

  • Expertise on fabrication of sensitized solar cell and quantum dot light emitting devices.

  • Extensive study the microstructure and structure of semiconductor nanostructures using high resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM) and Raman spectroscope.

  • Skilled in various characterization techniques;

    • Thin film techniques: Photolithography (mask aligner, MA6), MicroWriter (ML3 Pro), thermal evaporator (ODEM evaporator), ALD (FIJI F200), RF sputtering (AJA sputtering), anodization, doctor-blade and electrophoretic deposition.

    • Electrical and Magnetic studies: Resistivity, photoconductivity, magnetoresistance and Hall measurement.

    • Microscopy: HRTEM (FEI TITAN 300 kV, FEI Tecnai F20, Phillips CM12), FESEM (Quanta 400, Quanta 200, InspectF, FEI), FEI Versa 3D Dual-beam SEM. (Institute operator of HRTEM and FESEM for 3 years)

    • Spectroscopy: Raman, UV/Visible absorption, circular dichroism (CD), PL, XRD, EPR, Diffuse reflectance. (Department Raman spectroscopy operator for one year)

    • Electrical and magnetic studies: Magnetoresistance, photoconductivity, Hall device.

    • Solar cell characterization techniques: IV-measurement, QE, EIS, OCVD. 

  • Semiconductor electronic properties analysis: Experience in analyzing of magnetoresistance at room temperature and cryogenic temperature (4K) and resistivity of semiconductor materials at room temperature and cryogenic temperature (70K).

  • Computer Skills and the software analysis: PeakFit (for EELS, Raman and XPS spectral profile fitting), Rietveld refinement, EIS spectral simulation, Vesta (crystal structure modeling), Origin, Photoshop, Microsoft office, crystallographic design. Digital micrograph design.

  • Organizer: Organized an event titled on “An Open Day on Optics (2016)” a lecture series, demo and lab visit, an one day workshop on Research Scholars Day (2015), and organize an one day workshop on “Photovoltaic: Fundamentals, Device Characterization, Simulation and Emerging Concepts (2018)” in the department of physics Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India.
